Common Slang and Curse Terms
In addition to its many vibrant characters, below are just a few of the more common phrases and curses found on the streets of New Eden:
- Plug in – saying that refers to being ready and focused.
- Byte the Code – an expression often used playfully to indicate joy, but can also express concern.
- Wen? Now! – a rallying call used by many groups to build confidence against stacked odds.
- Meow – a universally useful term used for greetings, questions, exclamations and affection et al.
- Pss pss – mimicking a snake in a public setting as a way to refer to an in-joke or hidden meaning.
- Noodle – term of endearment used across all regions as it is the most common food source.
- Skitz – a curse word that indicates trouble and chaos.
- Dreck – curse word exclamation of surprise and sometimes stress, bordering on panic.
- Gen wealth – used jokingly to indicate wildly unrealistic expectations.
- WAGMI – sarcastic reference to a widespread KPCO advert that uses the phrase as a jingle.
- OwO – an expression of excitement, particularly for something cute… with just a hint of flirtation.
- PAMP it – a vote of confidence to go and do something cool that exceeds expectations.
- Coca/Zippers/D/Slip – street terms for a variety of recreational drugs.
